imagineCALGARY Committee Updates

The imagineCALGARY Vision continues to be realized by imagineCALGARY Partners, including those who serve on imagineCALGARY’s three key Committees. Highlights from the Committees’ activities over the past few months follow.

Steering Committee
The primary activities of the Steering Committee during April and May have been concentrated around ‘action team’ initiatives.

Specifically, four action teams are dealing with the following projects:

Target identification and baseline measurement in the three focus areas of collaborative action for the Partnership
Developing a performance measurement tool – indicators of success – to measure progress on goals identified in The Partnership Strategy for the imagineCalgary Partnership 2009-2015
Developing a plan to enhance Partner engagement and also to assist with recruitment of new Partners
Developing a plan to address current and ongoing resourcing matters for the Partnership

Through teleconference sessions and in-person meetings, the four action teams are currently identifying appropriate frames of reference for team action, coordinating inventory details and seeking productive linkages between the Steering Committee action teams.

Communications and Awareness
In recent weeks, the Communications and Awareness Committee has been focusing on starting work on the 2009 imagineCALGARY Partner Symposium, scheduled for November 16th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

In addition to building some communications tools for our Partners to use in their organizations and with their peers, the Committee is working to clearly define "what it means to be an imagineCALGARY Partner" in 2009.

Finally, plans for the 2009 imagineCALGARY Awards are well underway. The nomination package is now available for download, with a deadline for submissions of Friday, September 18th at 4 p.m.
