Track your Ecological Footprint

Calgarians who want to measure their ecological footprint can now sign onto the City of Calgary’s new, customized eco-calculator. The Ecological Footprint calculator measures your consumption patterns through a series of questions that are used to establish your personal Ecological Footprint – the area of land and water needed to sustain your lifestyle and dispose of the waste you produce.

Once your footprint is revealed, the EcoAction calculator will help you find ways to reduce your impact. Learn how to save on water use and fuel consumption, generate less garbage and shop more sustainably. There’s even an option to compare your efforts with your friends, neighbors and coworkers by joining an EcoAction Team.
