imagineCALGARY Awards Announced

For the first time, achievements towards realizing the Vision of The imagineCALGARY Plan will be honored with a unique awards program. With the establishment of The imagineCALGARY Awards, outstanding contributions towards the long-term sustainability of Calgary will be recognized annually with the Partner in Action Award and the Leadership in Sustainability Award.

Yvette Rasmussen is a member of the imagineCALGARY Communications and Awareness Committee that developed the awards. “With the progress towards sustainability that is happening in the community, we felt it was time to start recognizing and celebrating these achievements,” Yvette says. “The imagineCALGARY Awards are an opportunity to profile the efforts of those individuals and organizations that are trying to make our community more sustainable, which is obviously what imagineCALGARY is all about.”

The imagineCALGARY Partner in Action Award will be given to an active imagineCALGARY Partner demonstrating excellence, innovation, involvement and leadership in the adoption and activation of practices that support the long-term sustainability of the city of Calgary within the target scope of The imagineCALGARY Plan.

The imagineCALGARY Leadership in Sustainability Award will be given to an organization or business that is not an imagineCALGARY Partner organization yet but which demonstrates excellence, innovation, involvement and leadership in the adoption and incorporation of practices that support the long-term sustainability of the city of Calgary within the target scope of The imagineCALGARY Plan.
