Celebrating Earth Day and Calgary’s
Eco-Footprint Community Kickoff
When it comes to reducing Calgary’s Ecological Footprint, we’re all in this together. This April 22 – Earth Day – The City of Calgary and its corporate and community partners will come together to showcase collective environmental actions and set the stage for further initiatives to reduce Calgary’s Footprint.
Partnership, collaboration and interconnectedness around environmental stewardship are key elements in the Eco-Footprint. And through this coordinated effort, partners will demonstrate that reducing Calgary’s Ecological Footprint is truly a citywide effort.
From April 18 to 26, you can join partners at the Eco-Footprint Community Showcase. Visitors can take part in a series of green community events that will help you reduce your Ecological Footprint. Community partners involved in the Showcase include the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Calgary Public Library, Community Natural Foods, the Weaselhead Preservation Society, Clean Calgary Association and Brookfield Properties.
Representatives from imagineCALGARY will also be participating at the event kick-off, providing an opening address and answering questions about the imagineCALGARY Partnership.
